Means capturing authentic, candid moments that reflect you! You can expect minimal exact direction with prompts for movement and connection. My style focuses on the moments in-between where connection takes place. Moments where a hair is brushed out of your loved ones face or a small kiss might happen between posed shots. A hug to calm a toddler or a pep talk might be the best photo of your gallery. Let's take pictures that tell your family's story.

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by!After six years of advising high school yearbook and newspaper while also teaching photography, design and English classes, I took the leap and started this business in 2022 when I decided to take a break from teaching to stretch my own writing and photography skills.For just under a year, I worked as a communications manager and associate magazine editor while photographing families and seniors with a wedding thrown in here and there, but I yearned for more control over my time. That's why in March 2024, I decided to take this adventure full time!After marrying my best friend and partner in crime, Spencer Bauman, in 2019, we moved to the Northland in Kansas City where we welcomed our first baby boy, Carter, in June 2023. My love of photography started when I was 7-years-old in 4-H. I'd run around my grandma's farm while attempting to taking pictures of the barn cats, horses, the dogs, and wheat fields. I expanded my interest throughout high school and college by joining the school newspapers where I would take pictures at games, events and everything in-between. Yes, I was THAT girl in the mid-2000s always taking pictures with her point and shoot digital camera. I seriously did not leave the house without it and have thousands of photos of everything I saw.I majored in English and Journalism education which led to me the opportunity to teach my passion in photography and storytelling. Because I have a background in journalism, I have an interest in telling your authentic story. Meaning, I will use minimal high-end edits (basic blemishes and some teeth whitening might be the extent of my edits) to tell your story.ALL families of every shape, size, background, ethnicity and structure are welcome. I'm LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly. I love learning and sharing what makes your family unique! Additionally, I want to capture you and your family the way you live your life. The more personalized the shoot the better. Whether it's for engagements to seniors and family photos, I want to be your go-to photographer! Whether you have a vision in mind or want me to flex my creativity, I love capturing your milestones and hope you love the photos!
